I assume the best of people so I pretend that Comelec/Smartmatic are merely incompetent instead of deliberately sabotaging the elections
It does make me wonder though… So, the ballots are sheets and you shade them in and they're scanned, right? Um… universities have been using those things for decades now. What the hell is so difficult about it? When they were proposing an electronic election at the beginning, I thought it was going to be computer terminals with touch screens and fingerprint scans linked to each database entry vote.
