IDK what Duterte supporters are trying to accomplish by pointing out that there are also rapes and other crimes going on perpetrated by drug addicts. (a) Nobody is encouraging or cheering on those crimes; and (b) Pinapalabas nyo lang that the police are still ineffective (not the CHR, since that’s not their responsibility)

They're trying to justify why the war against drugs is acceptable for them. They think that while there are some innocent people caught in the crossfire, there are also innocent people who were saved from becoming victims if the drug addicts were left to roam the streets.
