EDSA was about ousting a despot. If an administration takes this time to jail the opposition and be paranoid about “destabilization plots”, that says a lot doesn’t it?

paranoid is right.
sabi nga nila sa drug war: kung takot ka, malamang guilty ka….
So this 'paranoia' has no basis? And the arrest of an opposition senator has no legit legal basis? -only because she is in the opposition? This says a lot doesn't it?
I make no claims as to the bases (since we are liable to disagree on what constitutes an acceptable basis anyway and I seriously don't know kung merong legitimate basis yung paranoia). Re: paranoia, AFAIK the AFP has asserted no awareness of any "destabilizatio n plot", IDK what their basis for that is either though. It's also weird to be so insecure for an administration that claims to have the support of the majority of the people, both houses of congress, the AFP and the PNP.
This government's representatives frequently resort to outright lies. Many of its loudest supporters have amplified fake news. But to the willingly blind, they can be made to see whatever they want. http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/875175/doj-chief-falls-victim-to-fake-ambush
Tama na Dave, I'm sure your point is made :p
