The actions by Congress and idiotic statements from the SAGIP party list and Sotto etc tell us what to expect if the current administration and their lackeys were to rewrite our constitution. Their vision for the country: no checks and balances, no accountability, no complaining about the leadership. And some people I used to know have the gall to claim that we should trust the leadership to fix the broken system when every thrust they have made so far takes us backwards. Magkakaron daw ng meritocratic system afterwards, e mukha bang meritocracy ngayon! We’ve had idiotic politicians for as long as I can remember, but as far as I can tell the current crop takes the cake. That’s my political rant for the day. Now to go out and try not to get killed by cops.

Naisip ko nga, baka nanglalaban na talaga yung mga tao. Baka ako din manglaban kung alam ko na isa-summary execution ako ng mga yan.
"Whoever exchanges their freedom for security does not deserve one neither the other." -Ben Franklin.
I'm thinking a panic room with lines to internet and phone to contact the media might be more useful than having a gun these days but what can you do if they drive up to your car window in traffic and shoot you? :( What a fucked up reality in which these are serious discussions and not fiction.
It is also a f*d up reality when you read about a 5 month old baby (who most likely is unable to walk) getting shot because his dad supposedly fought back. The baby was probably lying down. I begin to wonder where the Philippine collective soul went – where our empathy and hearts have gone. When did we start being like this?
Because Art Abon mentioned the term "collecfive soul": Give me a word. Give me a sign. Show me where to look. Tell me what will I find… Heaven let your light shine down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syFwl1MAAY8
