I think it’s true that there is a part of Pinoy culture that celebrates being a DOM, the same part that celebrates misogyny and objectification of women. The question isnt whether it’s there, the question is what can we do to get rid of it

Maybe it's because the DOMs tend to hold power, which is why they are celebrated. Of course, spreading the power is possibly an even harder task.
I think it’s here to stay, because we are a tolerant culture that laughs things off especially when it comes to machismo related issues.
