Further adding to my justification for not debating my right-wing conservative relatives on issues of religion, history, politics, social equality, or climatology:
I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.
Fun Fact: earlier this year a bunch of right wing assholes got together enough masse to report @paulengelhard for some unkind comment that he made about Trump supporters. So he got banned from Twitter while all the Nazis, White Supremacists, bigots, racists, and generally ignorant and unpleasant people get to keep spouting hate speech on Twitter unopposed.
