Interstellar spoiler-free review: Entertaining movie if you have a good suspension of disbelief and accept the science at face value. Some of the science and timelines are questionable (or maybe I missed some details possibly because I was talking Doctor Who with someone at the same time - some things might clear up on rewatch). Most of the black hole and relativity stuff was well-executed though. The twist at the end I could pretty much spot coming a mile away. CASE and TARS are very entertaining; I wouldn’t recommend the movie to my mother, for pretty much the same reasons I wouldn’t recommend Inception. Interstellar might be harder to grasp than Inception overall. Explores themes of relativity and human loneliness. Some surprise actors appeared! Very much a Nolan movie

@talk2GLOBE here are some recent spam messages https://imgur.com/a/MspLl
@ToniOfGlobe before I agree, can I ask if my # will only be revealed if the spammer comes forward personally? Will their number be disabled?
@ToniOfGlobe I mean, they would have to give their real name etc?
@ToniOfGlobe yes, but will you disclose my number if they don’t disclose their own details?
@ToniOfGlobe I’m just confirming that “denied the report” means they disclose their own details to do that. If so, I’m fine with it
@ToniOfGlobe btw, will I be notified if the spammer disputes the report?
@YanyanOfGlobe and will I be notified if the spammer disputes?
@YanyanOfGlobe you’re not answering my question :|
@YanyanOfGlobe how does that answer my question?

Aaaaaaand I’ve gotten into another debate over twitter, literally the worst format for any sort of reasonable discourse
-
@pastor_ey @wawam @yusufledesma @momblogger Thank you for the lively debate (and for keeping the discourse to a mostly reasonable level), and for entertaining my humble opinion. If you wish to advocate for allowing cellphone numbers to be blocked on the say-so of one party without recourse for dispute, more power to you. In the meantime, I don’t mind accepting their policy and shall continue to report spammers, however little it may help
-
@pastor_ey @momblogger @wawam of course in no way do I support spammers, but as a matter of common sense I like to take into account other POVs and understand why policies are in place. And note that they only disclose your number if there is a dispute. I have been reporting on average 3-5 spam messages per week for the past few months and have never received a dispute. Again, it seems like a perfectly reasonable policy to me. @arnelc24 @yusufledesma @talk2GLOBE
-
@pastor_ey @momblogger sure they have sms logs; unless of course they purge the logs on a regular basis and someone falsely accuses you using a months-old alleged spam text. Or maybe an ex of yours uses one of your real texts to falsely accuse you of being a spammer just to spite you. IDK all the ways anonymous reporting can be abused, but like I said, if I was accused of being a spammer, I’d want to know who is accusing me and the details. There’s probably a reason why in criminal law, defendants are accorded the right to know the details of the accusation and to face their accuser @arnelc24 @wawam @yusufledesma @talk2GLOBE

Homaygahd I got dragged into a twitter debate again. I blame @arnelc24 lol
