Over 40. I think yes, even in the 90s. I do remember hearing about things like Saddam invading Kuwait, fall of the Soviet Union, Desert Storm, etc. The main difference for me today is that we get a lot more “internal to the US” news, or maybe that’s just the sources I follow.

I just noticed that @duolingo web has great keyboard support, even in this “click to select words” mode. You can type to select words from the list, and enter/backspace work as you expect
(embarrassingly, the answer I have in the above screenshot is already wrong lol)
Unsurprisingly, the keyboard support doesn’t work for Japanese mode

PSA: if you keep your timeline in “latest tweets” mode (click sparkly blue icon on top right of app) you will have a chronological timeline and never have to see what your follows like. I always forget that’s a thing since I never see it
