Comic books and superheroes have always tended to skew towards liberal philosophies, given how writers and artists tend to support ideals like individualism and free expression. So it’s not surprising that the derivative shows tend to lean the same way. Not only do many of the shows promote diversity, but many are becoming overtly political as well. Some recent examples. (Spoilers for current seasons of Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Daredevil follow)

I imagine the profitability of a comic shop isn’t that high though. Or am I wrong? Or is it one of those things were you have to be lucky to find a good location?

He will be an Iron Man (Infamous Iron Man) later this year http://screenrant.com/marvel-comics-infamous-iron-man-doctor-doom/ after Civil War II
(There will be another Iron Man as well, a black teenage girl. Who knows what happens to Tony Stark)

I’m referring to the House of M universe where Logan was a shield agent and Magneto was some kind of royalty etc. Obviously the stuff in the first issue where they had Scarlet Witch in Genosha and the resulting consequences of the story arc (“No more mutants”) took place in 616, so I didn’t bother specifying
Arguably, since it “replaced” 616 for a bit, you might not consider it an alternate reality, but it’s as much alternate reality as Age of Apocalypse was. AoA happened the same way - it replaced 616 for a bit until they did the Bishop going into the M’Kraan crystal thing to restore 616, but they later showed AoA universe to continue as an “alternate reality”
In any case, whether you consider it an alternate reality or not, it’s definitely not a reboot in any way, shape, or form

Posted on r/comicbooks: Question about Flashpoint and Rebirth
So, the current surviving Clark Kent/Superman is supposedly pre-Flashpoint Superman, and New 52 Superman is dead right?
But Pre-Flashpoint Wally West coming out of the speed force and restoring New 52 Barry’s memories implies that New 52 Barry is the same as Pre-Flashpoint Barry. Shouldn’t this also mean that New 52 Superman should be the same Superman from Pre-Flashpoint? Is this discrepancy something that’s been explained somewhere? Or we just accept that Barry and Superman transitioned differently and handwave it away. “Comics, everbody!”

"Everyone knows the third movie is always the worst" -- Jean still too much focus on Jennifer Lawrence/Mystique some great soundtrack choices Quicksilver scene maybe just a tiny bit too long. Tradition of defying the rules of physics continues (I hope someone does the math on how fast he was probably moving) nice 80s wardrobe lol not particularly faithful to the source material plot is all over the place, a lot of WTF moments here and there.

Some stuff:
Spidey was great, but TBH it felt a bit random that Tony went back to the US to recruit a kid (he was that desperate?) AND make him a new suit when he only had 36 hours to catch Cap and friends. At least Cap got Hawkeye to do his stateside work, so their flight was only one way :p I feel like they probably had to work the Spidey part into the script after the deal with Sony.
I had known there would be a Giant Man appearance since there was a lego set that spoiled it, but luckily I completely forgot about it and only remembered when Scott said “I’ve only tried this once in a lab and it almost tore me apart!” Fun moment
When Zemo shows the three guys the video of Bucky taking out Howard and wife, Tony asks Steve “Did you know?” and Steve replies, “I didn’t know it was him”. What exactly did Steve know? Did he know that Howard and wife were assassinated, but did not know that Bucky was the assassin? If so, how does he know that? These events happened while he was in the ice. My brother thought it meant that Steve knew that Bucky assassinated someone (since Bucky told him about the incident he discussed with Zemo during the blackout), but that Steve did not know it was Howard. But then it wouldn’t make sense to reply to Tony that way?
Random: the endings for both Civil War and BvS were both about someone’s mother. Okay, not really haha
The Raft: Didn’t they also have a Raft in Agents of SHIELD? Then again, the movie guys probably don’t care about that show anymore…
During the airport fight sequence, I was expecting someone to switch sides at some point and thought it would be Spidey (since you know, Civil War), but happy to be surprised it was Natasha.
Some minor airport fight nitpicks: after they square off in the middle of the airport they break off into pairs but Vision is conspicuously absent. I don’t think he does anything significant until Giant-Man, which is weird given he’s the most powerful guy there. Also, at some point Falcon and Bucky ge

I understand where you’re coming from, but to claim that Marvel doesn’t make new heroes is maybe just a little bit disingenuous.
Characters on these covers that were introduced since the year 2000:
-
America Chavez (2011)
-
Silk (2014)
-
Spider-Gwen (2014)
-
Fantomex (2002)
-
Hulkling (2005)
-
Wiccan (2005)
-
Agent Coulson (2008)
-
Nico Minoru (2003)
-
Kamala Khan (Ms Marvel) (2013)
-
Half the people on the Web Warriors cover
I’m not counting Miles since you don’t seem to like that he’s also “Spider-Man” even though that shouldn’t really matter. There’s also two people I don’t recognize on the Uncanny Inhumans cover, IDK if they’re new.

Posted on r/comicbooks: [SPOILERS][Discussion] Hickman’s Avengers / New Avengers run discussion (Spoilers ahoy!)
Now that it’s wrapped up, is there a clean summary of everything that’s been going on in Hickman’s run so far?
I think I understand most of it, but I was confused with some things in both of the last issues:
New Avengers - it is mentioned that Molecule Man is the fuse used by the Beyonders to bring about the end of universes. In that case, why are there incursions? And if Doom had been able to kill at least a thousand Molecule Men, shouldn’t there be at least a thousand universes that survive?
Avengers - Steve says that Tony knew about it all from the beginning. How does he know this? How did Tony know? And when the incursion is imminent, they’re preparing for escape as if there was no hope of survival. But isn’t it that between 616 and 1610, one of those universes will survive the last incursion?
Feel free to discuss anything else about the run!
