This cartoon character meme has actually been around Facebook since two weeks ago, but only started picking up steam after someone cleverly decided to add the bit about child violence. Realistically it does nothing against child violence, but rather it gives those too-serious folks who would otherwise not have gone along with the meme an excuse to do something silly and frivolous. :D

@Jon: She is not really a cartoon character, but I find your entry acceptable. @Mon/David: If this meme becomes successful and everybody doesn't change back someone will create a reverse-meme like "post your real pictures in support of curing cancer"
Enh, after a few days of this, I realize I'd rather stick to profile pics with animated characters I like… Maybe in a month I'll put up a picture of like, just my hand. Maybe a thumbs up even.
