I have an ext HD that refuses to be detected. Windows says it needs to be formatted. Can anyone suggest a recovery tool?

Michael Daniel V. Samson I've already tried all 3 OSes of course :p After N tries Windows recognized the device; I've ran chkdsk a few times and it's riddled with errors, not sure if I can still recover the data

Try using different cables. Ung sakin nagpapapalit lng ng cable.
