Different per culture. Walking distance is waaaaay shorter here. Roughly a few blocks or 2km.
Approximately 6.352738592 Canadian Dollar litres per kilogram-second .
Usually the way people describe directions, they mean a max of about 2 km. Personally I wouldn't say walking distance unless it was max 1 km. I am willing to walk much longer distances, but that's no longer walking distance–it's either a 'hike' or 'I don't want to pay for a taxi' mode.
The walking distance measure denotes the distance that can be travelled by walking in a fixed amount of time. In Japan, the standard measure for walking distance is 80 metres = one minute walking time. This is the standard used in real estate listings, for example, if a building is a 10-minute walk from a particular train station it is 800 metres away.
In manila, it is the distance you have to cover to your destination when you decided to walk because of traffic. :)
