To be absolutely fair, Cobra Commander never killed anyone
He did! Was it Duke or Hawk?
"In the film's original script, Duke dies in battle after receiving a wound from a snake spear hurled by Serpentor. After this was written into the script, it inspired the death of the Autobot leader Optimus Prime in The Transformers: The Movie while both films were in production.[4] However, Optimus Prime's death sparked a severe backlash among both fans and parents, and Hasbro reversed their decision on allowing Duke's death. While the scene was kept, replacement dialogue was inserted stating that Duke had gone into a coma. At the end of the film it is stated that he had come out of the coma" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G.I._Joe:_The_Movie
It wasn't even him, it was Serpentor! :p
It's really interesting how American parents want to sanitize death from their kids while it's part of things for Japanese audiences. Or maybe it was a change in the US… coz come to think of it, there was death in like Bambi and Old Yeller and Charlotte's Web….
This was back in the 80s though. Nowadays people die in GI Joe and Transformers movies all the time!
Ah, yeah, the 80s, such an innocent time… in a weird, weird way….
Haha and he didn't really die. My research team is as misinformed as the current adminitration's .
Just for Cobra Commander not killing anyone: Hail Cobra!!!
