Designated Survivor: I like the parts where Tom Kirkman is dealing with day-to-day governance issues. It’s not gritty politics like House of Cards, it’s kind of the opposite - Kirkman is very much the kind of altruistic statesman the world could use right now. And occasionally he manages to beat the system too. The conspiracy parts with Maggie Q were okay, except that the resolution turned out to be really lame. TBF, resolving conspiracy plots is difficult; the tendency is either (a) overly-complicated conspiracies with multiple layers that get drawn out until the series gets cancelled (see: X-Files); (b) overly-simple conspiracies with lame resolutions

I binged this last Friday, I think I'm about halfway through. I usually don't this genre (never saw West Wing, haven't seen House of Cards), but I like it and might try the others.
baligtad tayo. parang nakukulangan ako na masyadong 'mabait' yung character ng president. napaplastikan ako. :) )) o baka jaded na ako. haha
ang korny nung season ender!!! 😀
Sawa na ako sa mga real-life politicians e lol
I was kind of hoping they would have like a second attack on the same scale as the Capitol to end the season and move the plot forward sa season 2. But I guess they shot the season finale before knowing if they were going to be renewed and just decided to magically catch everybody (except that one guy) in the last 10 minutes and have Kirkman give a speech so that the series ends well if no renewal
sabi namin ni jet while watching, sabog ulet para designated survivor ulet, tapos si state sec/old prez yung may pakana ng lahat… but no… just a super korny speech.
