More Tales is always nice, but I heard the Vita port of this wasn’t too good though. Anyone know if it’s true?

I wasn’t too impressed with the final issue. Some nice sequences overall, but a number of parts seemed rushed, like how Peter explains things so quickly to Carlie, Miguel, the Avengers even. And the Goblin recognizing it was Peter after one line of banter?
I’m disappointed in how Norman got away. Spider-man gets stunned for one panel and suddenly he’s gone and neither Peter nor Miguel bother to look for him? Obviously they ran out of space to wrap that up neatly, but jeez
I just felt it needed a bit more oomph as a series finale I guess. I suppose they’ll be covering the repercussions of Otto’s run in the months to come though

The early reviews on Amazing Spider-Man 2 are mixed =/ I’m still going to watch it of course, but it’s better not to keep my hopes up especially after the awesomeness that was Captain America 2.

This week’s book was Mort (from the Discworld series). I’ve read the first few Discworld books, and some of the random later ones, but I figured I should start reading them in order and maybe I’ll be finished sometime before I die if Pratchett slows down a bit. I also have a couple of unread physical books in the series, but they’re a bit ahead of the sequence. The Discworld books are quick reads anyway (I finished Mort in around three hours while doing other stuff), so it shouldn’t take too long, hopefully…

I’ve been in situations where I knew a friend was about to do something stupid that could ruin her life, but there was nothing I could do to stop it or dissuade her, all I could do was stand by and bear witness to the inevitable (metaphorical) train wreck that she would have to climb out of. It’s terrible because you give advice and you feel like you’re not listened to when you’re only looking out for them and you’re being completely sensible.
Sometimes you just have to let people make their own mistakes.

I think you just need to be using the same PSN account on both the Vita and the PS4. if you buy your Vita in Korea, you can still create a US account.

Say what you will about the Game of Thrones TV series, but I really like how they did the battle of Blackwater Bay (yes, I’m still in season 2 playing catch up). Or maybe I just really enjoy watching large-scale medieval warfare, it’s far better than reading about it. Looking forward to the big battle in the North towards the end of season 4.

Just finished reading the Man Out of Time and Winter Soldier story arcs of Brubaker’s Captain America run.
I wasn’t really keeping up with comics back then, how did fans react to Brubaker bringing back Bucky? Did people know ahead of time he was coming back, was it hinted at, or was it a big surprise?

It’s odd, but I often have conversations with taxi drivers that go like:
“Sa Tandang Sora po ako”
“Saan sa Tandang Sora?”
“Sa may Visayas po”
Then later during the ride when we get to Visayas they’re going to ask where along Visayas I’m going to get off. It’s like in their head “sa may Visayas” translates to “along Visayas, please completely disregard what I just said about Tandang Sora”
