I don’t think we should ban Lantern or Ensnaring Bridge, but I wouldn’t mind printing sth like “Shatterstar, Artifact, (1). R, Sacrifice ~: Destroy target artifact. Whenever ~ is put into your graveyard or the exile zone from your library, exile all artifacts.” #MTG #Modern

@patio11 I would argue that fake news videos of politicians saying things they shouldnt or maybe inciting wars would be the worst case here

My train of thought as I’m catching up with Star Trek Discovery
- this is great
- there’s no way they could have done most of this stuff while Gene Roddenberry was around
- I know we just got a Netflix series, but I think Jason Isaacs could play The Punisher

According to the documentation here: https://djangobook.com/syndication-feed-framework/
If link doesn’t return the domain, the syndication framework will insert the domain of the current site, according to your SITE_ID setting
However, I’m trying to generate a feed of magnet: links. The framework doesn’t recognize this and attempts to append the SITE_ID, such that the links end up like this (on localhost):
<link>http://localhost:8000magnet:?xt=...</link>
Is there a way to bypass this?

Someone on quora asked:
I don’t believe there’s such a state as “software savant” where you click a switch and you’re suddenly this perfect all-knowing super brilliant guru. I think software development (like many careers) is a continuous journey of self-improvement.
What differentiates better developers isn’t being brilliant or some advantage that makes them “superior” from the start. It’s the attitude of knowing how to apply experience from past mistakes, knowing not to let ego drive your decisions, knowing that you need to approach problems systematically, knowing how to communicate well with your peers etc. None of these are inherently out of reach of anyone.
Years of experience gives you exactly that - experience. The experience by itself is meaningless if you don’t learn from it and apply that learning properly.

Whenever I read about the problematic world leaders we have today I shake my head and wonder if any of them have even won a game of Civilization on Deity
actually that should be our new requirement for elected and appointed officials
ok never mind that just increases the prospect of war

Turning down foreign aid because it requires us to observe human rights is kind of like a poor family refusing to participate in the conditional cash transfer program because they have to make their kids go to school.

I had put off watching PUNISHER (on Netflix) since i wasn’t really too hyped about it. But now that I finally got around to it, I really like it.
The pacing was good throughout the season (which was one of the weakness of the recent MCU Netflix seasons such as Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Defenders) and it didn’t falter halfway through and stuck the landing.
