I’d appreciate either one; if you give me the orange box, I’ll be giving it to a friend who hasn’t played half-life 2 yet.
My steam id is the same as my reddit id.
Cheers, happy holidays and good karma :D

If those are the DLC you’re buying, then yeah, you would have a problem. I’m pretty sure I managed to get 2 pretty good Fallout:New Vegas DLCs for the price of those “few guns”

I like the Civ DLC. I don’t enjoy map packs, but then again I don’t have to buy them. But I like the additional civs being added every now and then. Keeps the game fresh. In fact, I’d like to have as many civs as possible, but I don’t want to have to wait forever for that game. And with Steam, I never have to buy them full price, I just wait for the next big sale.
I also don’t mind not having religion or corporations, I already have Civ4 for that. :D

Stay out of the scary places for now. Try fighting aboveground things first… fiends or or radscorpions and such, so you get used to paying attention to looking at your radar (lower left corner) to be aware of nearby enemies. Also you might want to increase your perception stat so that enemies show on the radar earlier.

If I install a mod and save my game with the mod enabled, then I later disable or uninstall it, will my save game no longer work?

Posted on r/gaming: (Casual gaming question) My mom has finished all of Angry Birds on the PC and is asking if I could recommend any games for her, looking for suggestions
Hopefully something cheap (if not free). Also, I can’t give her anything that has time pressure (i.e. Plants vs Zombies) because she gets hypertensive sometimes when she tried playing stuff like Bejeweled or Text Twist.

It’s a point-and-click adventure game? How good is it, and how come I never heard of it before? (Big fan of the genre, i.e. LucasArts-style games, the Sierra quest games, etc)

I didn’t make it to the end of the video.
Is this really how people pronounce it? Spelling out the “N”, “E” and “S”? I’ve always pronounced it as “Esness” (and logically, “Esness Nine Ex”)

I already have Mount and Blade, but it’s still a couple of games from the top of my to-play list (still haven’t finished going through everything I bought at the last Steam sale :p) What about Fire and Sword? Should I get it? There’s a 10% off preorders at the moment.

Posted on r/gaming: King’s Bounty question
I have 3 King’s Bounty games that I apparently got back during the Steam holiday sales. Legend, Crossroads and Armored Princess. Just starting to play them now, surprisingly fun. What order should I play them in?

Guy2: Clark Kent?
Guy1: No, it’s Efren
Guy2: What? Where’d you get that?
Guy1: In Superman the Movie, when he catches Lois Lane falling from the Daily Planet she says to him “Who are you?” and he replies “I’m Efren”

What if they didn’t bundle DLC separately and just straight-up sold the game for a higher price (and with a slightly later release date), would you prefer it? Or if the game was released with the same price but no additional DLC at all? Or the game is released with no DLC but six months later a new full version of the game is released with slightly more content that could have been released as DLC but instead you now have to buy a full game again?
Personally, I find that DLC is a good idea as it allows customers to pick and choose which content they want. I’m not going to bitch about it, I don’t have to buy the DLC if I don’t want to. In fact for longer games like RPGs I just wait for the GOTY to come out later.
Also, the phrase “cutting content out of the game” shows misunderstanding of how software development in general works. Like all other software development gigs, game development is largely constrained by schedules and real-world budget and resource constraints. And most of the time they’re going to fall short of those schedules and have to decide what features to cut so they can make it on time. Having the option of releasing them as DLC creates less pressure on the team and creates an opportunity for content that would otherwise have been cut or saved for a larger expansion disc to be made available. And please don’t take at face value the rantings that because 90% of a DLC’s content is already on the disc that it should have been included at release - you haven’t considered the other 90% yet.

Games gives you carrots to chase all the time (quests, getting to the end of the level, mission objectives), achievements are just an additional layer of that for people who like having goals.

The medium(Normal) computer isn’t very good as a gauge of your abilities as it isn’t very difficult at all.
I’m not a particularly good MvC3 player, but here’s some ideas: Are you able to block correctly? Do you use assists to create openings? If you have trouble doing hypers on the fly, have you tried doing them in training? Completing a few missions?
Actually I think Wolverine can do Berserker Barrage X (QCF + AA) off most light or medium attacks, so you should be able to practice like Light into Medium into down-forward + Light + Medium at least. I find this easier on an arcade stick instead of a controller though due to the button layout.

Really? Did you get that from the multiple game of the year awards it garnered? :p
Dunno whether bnet is “shitty” or not but I’ve personally logged more than 500 games online, and I’m no pro just a casual player mostly. Hundreds of games are ongoing at any one time on bnet, I’m not sure under what definition of shitty that qualifies.
Tldr sc2 is an awesome game

It is a characteristic of games from that era. There’s a whole lot of trial and error involved, especially back in the days when we didn’t have the internet for walkthroughs :p
